It is in 1913 that our origins in purse-seine fishing and small trawling began on the Galician coast. Following the tradition and after years of work and dedication to the fishing of blue fish and the fresh fish trade, in 1988, the Muñiz Family, established Francisco Muñiz e Hijos, SA, known for its commercial brand Pescados VIXA ©, and began its expansion to the frozen pelagic fish market, being a pioneer in the implementation of freezing systems at IQF (Individual Quick Frozen) with the purpose of innovating the process and its freezing techniques.
